An anonymous tip alleges that a new Mazda RX-9 sports car is in the works and the team at McDonald Mazda South hopes this is true. The scoop is that the RX-9 will have a turbocharger to help produce between a roaring 350 and 450 horsepower without a Wankel rotary engine. Instead, a 3.0-liter inline-six version of the Skyactiv engine will be utilized. This engineering would make the RX-9 comparable to that of a Toyota Supra. While it's a way off, drivers can still harness the road in a new MX-5 Miata to satisfy their need for speed.
