Will the RX Return?
Just mentioning the letters "RX" in any Mazda-related conversation is enough to get enthusiasts excited. Can you blame them? For many of us, the FD Mazda RX-7 isn't just a sports car -- it's a dream car. Now there are talks of a similar car returning to the lineup, which makes us think: could this be the RX we've all been waiting for?
According to Best Car Magazine, Mazda has been secretly developing a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe that will supposedly be powered by an all-new 3.0-liter inline-6 engine. Power figures are to be in the 350-horsepower range, and the outlet estimates it will cost around $45,000.
To us, that doesn't sound like an "MX" but rather an "RX". Until then, we've got our fingers crossed.
